tissue types (major & subtypes) found in a stomach,
skin, heart. blood vessel, and skeletal muscle

your lecture notes.
a) Look up
the definitions of these words in your textbook, dictionary or other
source. Then write sentences using those words in the proper context.

the roots that are used to make those words. Can you think of other
words that use those roots and what those other words mean? Are there
some similarities between these words?
3) Write poems (e.g. limericks, haiku, etc.) about the
different tissues types. Describing either function, location or form.

Think of five homeostatic or protective mechanisms that the skin
performs during a typical day. Write a story about a person going
through that day and how the homeostatic mechanisms are carried out
during the day. (R) If you are an aural learner, tell someone else the
story.
6) Make physical models of different tissue types using
clay, playdo, or other materials. Be creative. (K)
