Grading

Lab exams are given as lab practicals with questions at several stations.  Students roam to each station and answer the questions presented.  Rules for practical exams will be given before each exam.  There are eight 20 point practicals and two 40 point practicals given throughout the session.  Be on time or you will need to finish when the last person who came on time finishes.  Lab exams must be taken when scheduled except in rare circumstances.  There are no lab exam make-ups.  The lowest grade of the 20 point practicals will be dropped from your point total.

There will be six activities performed during lab that require turning in as a handout.  Some of these are group activities in which the groups turn in a joint assignment.  Each student is expected to contribute equally to the assignment (as explained in your lab manual).

Points Possible

Lab exams → 7 x 20 (lowest 20 pt dropped) + 2 x 40                                 220

Additional assignments   70                                                                                  70

Total points                                                                                                              290
