General Information About Completing Degrees at Anoka-Ramsey

From the time you first enroll in a degree program, you have four years to complete the requirements in effect during that school year. If you take longer than four years to finish the program, you must either (1) complete the requirements that are in effect during the year of graduation/completion, or (2) request that the College apply the program requirements from one of the past four years--contact the business program coordinator or an academic counselor on your campus for more information.

If program requirements change while you are completing a program, you may request (or petition) that currently offered business courses be substituted for discontinued or significantly changed courses. For more information about academic petitioning, contact the business program coordinator or an academic counselor on your campus.

Degrees Offered in Business

Associate in Science (A.S.)

Choose the A.S. degree if you (a) intend to transfer your degree to a bachelor-degree business program at Mankato, Moorhead, Metropolitan State University, or the University of Minnesota, or (b) want to gain the technical skills to become more employable right now while keeping your options open for completing a degree in the future.  The A.S. degree requirements include approximately an equal number of credits of general education and business courses. You may choose either an A.S. in accounting, administrative management, or an A.S. in business.  For a complete listing of requirements for either degree, select one of the links below.
