Individual/Corporate Income Tax Introductory course in taxation. Topics include the individual income tax return, gross income and exclusions, employee expenses, itemized deductions, credits and special taxes, self-employment returns, capital gains and losses, withholding and payroll taxes, and basic partnership and corporate tax returns. |

Financial Accounting Covers financial accounting concepts from a "user" perspective and focuses on the application of these concepts in real-world environments. The central theme will concentrate on how economic information is identified, measured, and communicated. Topics include accounting as a form of communication, financial statement analysis and the annual report, processing accounting information, income measurement and accrual accounting, merchandise accounting and internal control, accounting for assets, liabilities, and owners' equity. This course is required for all AAS Business degrees. In addition, this course will transfer to most four-year colleges throughout the U.S. and is part of both the AA and AS Business degrees offered at ARCC. |

Computerized Accounting Hands-on course studying theory and how to use integrated computerized accounting systems. Integrated modules include those commonly found in computerized environments: general, payroll, sales, receivables, payables, purchases, and financial statement analysis. |

Payroll Accounting This course is designed to make the student aware of the need for payroll and personnel records and to understand the various methods of computing wages and salaries, computing deductions, maintaining payroll records, and preparing government reports related to payroll. Student is introduced to computer software used to process payroll information. |
