Program Information

Students can complete a 2-year degree or certificate in Computer Science.  The 2-year Associate of Science degree transfers to 4-year computer science programs at Metropolitan State University, Minnesota State University, Mankato and the University of Minnesota.  The certificate program is intended for students who may already hold a 2- or 4-year degree and now want computer science certification to help change or enhance their career.

This new 2-year degree in Computer Science complements Anoka-Ramsey Community College's Associate in Science degree programs in Computer Networking and Telecommunications and Pre-Engineering.  Each of these 2-year degree programs offers transfer opportunities for students who want to go on to complete 4-year degrees at the University of Minnesota or other Minnesota State Universities.  

For students who prefer to focus on a certificate, the new Computer Programming certificate joins existing technology certificate options at Anoka-Ramsey.  The college also offers certificates in Computer Help Desk Specialist, and Network Support and Administration, Biomedical Technology or Geographic Information Systems and Cartography.
