Sample Weekly Study Schedule:

1.  The class week begins on Tuesday.  Look at the yellow column to find out what's assigned for textbook reading, and start to read the assigned chapter in A People and a Nation (P&N).

Also: Take a look at what’s assigned in the Green column for Discussion/Discussion quiz.  It's always good to know the amount of reading that's assigned so you don't get surprised later in the week.
Linda’s tip:  Go into the discussion forum and read my posts with the questions for discussion.  Knowing what I think are the interesting and important aspects of the reading will help with your comprehension and note-taking.

2.  If you can finish up the P&N reading, take the textbook quiz so you can cross it off your weekly list.  Aim to complete this by maybe Wednesday or Thursday.  You have until the following Monday at NOON.

3.  Next shift your attention to reading the material in the yellow column – this is the stuff that is assigned for the discussion board and for the short-answer “discussion quiz.”  Start reading!  If there are a number of smaller items assigned, go ahead and post in discussions as soon as you’ve finished reading something.  Remember you need to make at least two posts before Saturday evening. (technically midnight.)

4.  Over the weekend and into the first part of next week, wrap up the Discussion reading, continue to make discussion posts and take the “Discussion Quiz” after you’ve finished all of the reading.  Final deadline of Tuesday at NOON.
