Step 2--Circular Saw Second, you want to make sure and set the blade to the proper depth. Use the lever next to the power cord to loosen the foot (bottom plate) of the saw. Move the plate up or down to change the depth. The blade should be set to approximately 1/4" more than the thickness of the material. So, if cutting 3/4" plywood, set the depth at about 1". NOTE--WHENEVER MAKING ANY ADJUSTMENTS TO ANY POWER TOOLS, BE SURE THE TOOL IS UNPLUGGED!!!
