VICKI WHEELER 

Vicki is a graduate of Luther College and is a freelance musician in Minneapolis where she performs regularly with her woodwind quintet, Dolcé.  She also is a member of the Mississippi Valley Chamber Orchestra, Allegro Sinfonia, the Viennese Horn Trio, and several other groups.  Vicki especially enjoys playing in "the pits" with such groups as Minnesota Opera, Theater In The Round, university of Minnesota Opera, Anoka Civic Opera, and Como lakeside Theater to name a few. 

She also plays the Swiss Alphorn as a member of the Matterhorn Alphorn Duo which has given presentations and performances on the alphorn at informal public seminars, ethnic festivals, and many professional conferences throughout the country as well as for Public Radio and cable television. 

Vicki has studied horn with Herb Winslow of the St. Paul Chamber orchestra and Charles McDonald of the Minnesota Orchestra. 

Vicki enjoys her free time at home with her husband Kurt, and their two standard poodles, Ona and Polly.
