Wet to dry soils.
Select Characteristics:
Only a few flowers bloom at one time within a
flower cluster. The leaves have a strong minty odor.
Historical Significance:
A tea was used as a general tonic, to treat a
rundown condition. A poultice made of leaves was
placed on the sites of animal bites to hopefully
prevent rabies. Leaves were sometimes used as a
seasoning for cooking.
