Help With Online Stuff

Math 0200 - Mathematics I

Before you can use Course Compass you must register, you only need to do this once.  You will need:

*	An Email Address
*	The Course ID, which is sonnek35939
*	A student access code
		An access code is included with all NEW textbooks.  If you bought a used textbook you will need to either buy a Student Access Card/Kit from the bookstore or have a credit card ready to purchase an Access Code during registration.

Once you have this information go to www.coursecompass.com and click on "Register" under "Students".  Then follow the on-screen instructions.

Be sure to keep track of your login and password.  Click here to watch a video on registering with CourseCompass.

CourseCompass - Logging In

Go to www.coursecompass.com and click on "Log In" under "Students".  Enter your login and password.  Choose our class. 

Homework Checks

To turn in a 'HW Check' you need to log into CourseCompass, choose our class and choose "DO HOMEWORK".  To watch a video on how to submit homework, click here.

Quizzes

To take a quiz you first need to log into CourseCompass, choose our class, and choose "TAKE A QUIZ" from the left-hand column.  To watch a video on how to take a quiz, click here.

Gradebook

To check your grade log into CourseCompass, choose our class, and choose "Gradebook" from the left-hand column.

Notes

Notes from all of the sections are available from the homepage, then click on the chapter you would like to view.  To view the notes you need to have Adobe Reader installed on your computer, if you don't already have this you can download it for free at www.adobe.com 

Videos

There are video lectures for most of the sections covered, these videos show me working through the section while talking through each of my steps.  The videos are available from the homepage, then click on the chapter you would like to view.   

Online Office Hours

To visit me in my online office hours, click here.  Then type your name where it says "Enter as a Guest".  For the online office hours you will be able to hear my voice (so be sure your speakers are on) and see what I am writing.  If you have a microphone you can talk to me, otherwise there is a "chat" option where you can type your questions to me.

MetNet Email Account

If you need to initiate your ARCC email account follow these steps:
1. Go to www.metnet.edu/initiate
2. Click Initiate Account in Step #1
3. Agree to policies and guidelines
4. Enter your eight-digit Student ID number (Tech ID), Choose College, set your Password and click Submit
5. You will be issued a MetNet Username (first four letters of your last name followed by a randomly assigned four-digit number) and email account information will be displayed on the following page.
6. Your email address will be your MetNet username followed by @metnet.edu
