Anoka-Ramsey Community College -- Coon Rapids Campus
English 0950: Elements of College Writing
Fall 2004 / Sections 1 and 2
REVISED Schedule #1

M 9/27 -- Due: Final Draft and Portfolio of Personal-Response Essay / Discuss Visiting Writer Presentations / In-Class Writing / Begin Essay #2

W 9/29 -- Book Evaluation Essay / Discuss Sample Papers / Introduce Structures

NOTE #1: You are required to attend one session with our visiting writer, Anthony Bukoski, today, Wednesday, September 29, 2004, at 1:00 p.m. and/or at 2:00 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center.

NOTE #2: Take good notes during the presentation.  Since we do not meet as a class on Th 9/30 or F 10/1, use your notes to write a one-page paper, double-spaced, about 300-350 words, in which you record your reactions to specific things that Anthony Bukoski talked about during one of his presentations--agree with him, disagree with him, respond to something he said, etc.  (Ideas are more important for this paper than grammar.)  This short, informal paper is due at the beginning of class on Monday, October 4, 2004.
