Check out the recommendations below for each grade level. Freshmen Keep working on your study habits. It is important that you figure out how you learn the best. Your GPA does matter now. This is the time to start thinking about the ACT's. Take the PLAN test that is offered at your high school. This will give you an idea of areas to study to prepare for the ACT next year. If you are not sure what to do, ask your advisor. It is never too early to start getting ready
Juniors I have three
letters for you: A C T. This year should be focused on getting
ready to take the ACT. Upward Bound will be offering may ACT
workshops. It is recommended that you attend these workshops. In
addition to the workshops, a pre-test will be given in November to assist
you in knowing the areas that you should be focusing on to get ready.
Do not think that you can wait until the week before the test to study.
A little at a time is better than a big cram session. |
