Sample “loaded language” thesis:

Thesis: The United States of America should pass harsher immigration laws

to protect our great nation.

Audience: I am targeting people who are patriotic and who don’t want to see

America become a nation of criminals.

Reason: I believe that there are too many people coming to America looking for jobs

both legally and illegally. It is outrageous to expect U.S. citizens to sit back and watch

these people cross the border who shouldn’t, take our jobs, and then—if they get caught—

we have to pay to send them back only to watch them try to come back again.
