  • On January 1st, 2013, the Initiative foundation, located in Little Falls, MN, awarded the Anoka-Ramsey Community College  Foundation of Coon Rapids a $5,000 grant to support the project titled: "Cost Benefit of BioFuel Production for Cambridge".  The grant money will be utilized as part of a large project on the Cambridge Campus to double-crop Energy Crops (camelina and pennycress), supplied by Sartec/EverCat Fuels, LLC., with a Food Crop (soybean). One of the goals of this project is to educate and demonstrate to local farmers and landowners the benefits of biofuel production as an added bonus to their already farmed food crops.  Local meetings will take place in 2013 & 2014 to explain the farming process. More details will be posted when the agendas and times have been set.
