Biol 1106 Principles of Biology

This course is the first in a 2-semester majors sequence. It is transferable to other institutions as the first semester of General Biology for majors. It is required as a prerequisite in order to continue in any of the more advanced biology classes at Anoka Ramsey. For example, Anoka Ramsey Community College requires that the student earn at least a C in BIOL1106 before enrolling in Anatomy and Physiology. BIOL1106 is also required before enrolling in Microbiology. The other courses at Anoka Ramsey Community College that have this course as a prerequisite are BIOL1107 (the second semester of this sequence), Animal Biology, Plant Biology, Genetics, and Cell Biology
