For the vast majority of
building we do, we use screws instead of nails. There are
several reasons for this:
- Screws are generally easier to
drive than nails
- Removing screws does not damage
the wood nearly as badly as removing
nails
- Most screws can be reused,
while nails cannot
To
make driving the screws easier and more workable we have
a "stable" of cordless screw guns. At this point we have
about six 18 volt screw guns, each with two batteries.
This means, we should be able to work all day long
without running out of power.
Using a cordless driver of that
size takes some practice. The follow pages give you the
basics of using a cordless driver.
