Jack Kent Cooke ScholarshipThe Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship is a great opportunity. The process is generally as follows: 1) Interested students submit applications on line by the ARCC internal deadline of December 15, 2009. 2) Applications are reviewed. 3) Up to two nominees are selected for the College. 4) Completed final applications and supporting material are due no later than January 20. 5) College nominations are due no later than January 26.

Scholarship for Community College Students and Recent Alumni Offered
Nominees may include exceptional Anoka-Ramsey Community
College students with financial need
While 45 percent of all college students in the The Foundation plans to award approximately 30 scholarships through this program in spring, 2010. It will renew awards each year based upon student performance. Current students are eligible, as are alumni who earned a degree from a community or two-year institution since spring 2005 and have not since transferred to a four-year college. The application deadline is January 20, 2010. All candidates for the scholarship must be nominated by the faculty representative at their community or two-year institution. The deadline for nominations is January 26, 2010. The Anoka-Ramsey Community College faculty representative is Dr. John Mago. About the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation is a private foundation dedicated to helping young people of exceptional promise reach their full potential through education. The Foundation’s Undergraduate Transfer Scholarships are awarded to the
nation’s top two-year or community college students who have financial need.
The selection process for these awards is rigorous and highly competitive,
with approximately 50 scholarships awarded each year out of hundreds of

While the Foundation considers academic excellence first in evaluating candidates, competitive applicants must also demonstrate unmet financial need, which has two components:
