Kate
Maurer
Dr. Kate has
been
teaching at
ARCC
Cambridge
Campus since
2005.
She
teaches
multiple
sections of
College
Writing each
semester (in
the
classroom
and online)
and teaches
literature
(British
Literature;
Drama; Intro
to Lit) and
Humanities
courses (The
Film as Art)
on a
rotating
basis.
Occasionally
she gets the
extra
special
opportunity
to teach
special
topics in
literature
courses on
Shakespeare,
one of her
specialties.
Dr. Kate
holds a
Ph.D. in
English from
Marquette
University
in
Milwaukee,
and prior to
coming to
ARCC
she
was an
Assistant
Professor at
the
University
of Minnesota
Duluth .
Her
areas of
scholarly
interest
include Shakespeare,
drama,
British
Medieval and
Renaissance
literature,
and
professional
writing in
the arts.
She
is the
author of
A Guide to
Professional
Writing in
the Arts
and is a
board member
of the East
Central Arts
Council, a
former board
member of
the
Arrowhead
Regional
Arts
Council, and
one of the
founding
board
members of
Partner
Solutions
International
which offers
aid and
assistance
to select
remote
villages in
Nepal.
