Creative Writing Club

Spring 2014

The Creative Writing Club offers students an opportunity to share and critique creative writing with other students, explore their craft through writing exercises, attend poetry and fiction readings, read their work publicly, organize the Spring Semester reading, and work on the editing and publication of the Rapids Review

The club's atmosphere is that of a relaxed, friendly group of writers.  All students who would like to share and workshop their writing are invited to attend the Creative Writing Club's meetings.  You don't have to be a writing major--just someone interested in writing and sharing.

During the regular academic year, the Creative Writing Club meets on Fridays from 2-3 in T208.

If you have any questions about the club, please contact Tracy (Youngblom) Turner at Tracy.Turner@anokaramsey.edu or (763) 433-1604.

The Rapids Review Literary Magazine

The Creative Writing Club invites ALL students to submit creative work to be considered for publication in this year's issue of our literary magazine, the Rapids Review.

Submissions

Rapids Review, ARCC’s student literary magazine, seeks submissions of prose, poetry, photography, and visual art for the annual Spring issue. The deadline is March 7, 2014.

You may e-mail your submissions of poetry, short fiction, creative non-fiction, photography or artwork to Tracy Turner.  Please send e-mail submission material as an enclosure: for text, use Word documents; for photos, PDF files; for artwork, jpeg files. For more information call (763) 433-1604.
