will be reading from
her short story
collection In
Reach. In
Reach is
currently nominated
for a Minnesota Book
Award in fiction.
Its
stories are linked,
and revolve around
the residents of a
small Nebraska town.
The protagonists
range from a teenage
boy going on a
buffalo hunt with
his somewhat
estranged father, to
an elderly couple
just starting to
date. The
stories are short
and accessible, yet
they offer up
complex situations
that will allow for
great discussion.
