Kathleen
Weihe holds
an MFA in
writing from
Hamline
University.
She has
received
various
awards for
her poetry,
including a
Loft-McKnight
Award in
1989 and a
McKnight
Award
runner-up in
2008. One of
her short
stories
received a
Tamarack
Award from
Minnesota
Monthly.
She has been
published in
various
journals and
magazines,
and her work
appears in
the Milkweed
Editions
anthology
Sacred
Ground.
She received
a Minnesota
State Arts
Board
fellowship
in 2002.
Kathleen has
two children
and lives in
south
Minneapolis
with her
husband, a
frisky dog
and two
birds.
