Paige Riehl         

Paige Riehl

Paige Riehl has been a full-time English faculty member at ARCC since 2001. She teaches a variety of courses, including College Writing and Critical Reading, The Novel, Drama, Introduction to Literature, Short Stories, Introduction to Creative Writing, and A Writer’s Life. She feels fortunate that her career offers the opportunity to share her love of literature and writing with students.

Riehl’s poetry chapbook Blood Ties was published by Finishing Line Press in 2014. Her poetry and prose have appeared in numerous literary publications, including MeridianNimrod International JournalSouth Dakota Review, the Saint Paul AlmanacNaugatuck River Review, and more. She won the 2012 Loft Mentor Series in Poetry sponsored by the Loft Literary Center in Minneapolis. She also won first place in the 2011 Literal Latte Poetry Contest ($1,000 prize) and was a finalist for the 2011 Pablo Neruda Prize for Poetry and a semifinalist for the 2011 River Styx International Poetry Contest. Paige earned her Bachelor of Science from Minnesota State University Moorhead, her Master of Arts in English from North Dakota State University, and her Master of Fine Arts in Poetry from Hamline University.

Originally from South Dakota, she now lives in Saint Paul with her husband, son, and daughter. Paige loves to travel, read and write, and spend time with her family. Paige is a travel enthusiast and has been to 18 different countries.
