Bill Lund
teaches in
the English
Department
at
Anoka-Ramsey
Community
College,
where he has
specialized
in
composition
courses
since 2003.
His has
taught
English and
writing at
various
colleges and
universities
in Florida,
Indiana and
Minnesota,
including
St. Paul
College.
Bill has a
B.A. in
English and
history from
Westmar
College in
Iowa and an
M.A. in
English from
Ball State
University
in Indiana.
He completed
additional
graduate
work at the
University
of Minnesota
and St.
Thomas
University.
Although
Bill began
his career
in
education,
he took a
two-decade
break in the
midst of it
to work as a
professional
writer for
various
companies
and
agencies. He
worked as a
speech
writer,
advertising
copywriter,
technical
writer and
copy editor
for
companies
ranging from
Coca-Cola to
Delta
Airlines.
During this
period, he
also
authored a
series of
books for
junior high
schools and
libraries on
various
historical,
career and
sports
topics; most
of these
books are
still in
print from
Mankato’s
Capstone
Press. His
years
working as a
writer for
business
applications
strongly
influence
his approach
to teaching
composition
and
rhetoric.
