Once you have made adjustments to the blade, fence, and guard, you are now ready to cut the material. Note here that Nancy does not have the material on the table as she turns it on, and she has an assistant on the other side of the saw to catch the material and to help guide it out.
Prior to starting the machine, make sure there is plenty of room for both the person feeding the material and the person accepting the material.
Once you have made sure everything is ready, start the saw. The switch is located next to the blade height adjustment crank, under the table top.
