Dr. Patricia Pieper, Chemistry faculty at ARCC, has over 15 years of experience teaching organic chemistry courses, and has over 8 years of experience using POGIL (Process-Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning, an NSF-funded program) techniques in her organic and general chemistry courses. She previously integrated a biodiesel project in her organic chemistry II laboratory course and expanded the project to include a partnership with Ever Cat Fuels, which is being further expanded upon in this project.
