Birds of the Natural Area

The following is a list of what bird species have been observed in the Natural Areas and other parts of the Coon Rapids campus, including along the eastern banks of the Mississippi River. If you have observed other species, please report them to Joan McKearnan. Links to a report from a student project in 2002 are provided for some species. List order is according to the Minnesota Ornithologists Union Checklist of January 2005.
