Internships
Businesses, government, non-profits, and other organizations need
qualified analysts to provide them the information they need to make
decisions consistent with their goals and objectives. Perhaps
the most common "first step" toward an
economics career is
as an analyst. By hiring interns an organization can assess the
abilities of students as they search for qualified people to hire.
They also provide the student with the opportunity to see if
he or she is comfortable with the work and the environment as they
search for a career. Anoka Ramsey has an internship program
designed to match students with internship opportunities. An
internship can provide:
- Job experience.
- Paid experience in some cases
- Exposure to careers in Economics
- Contacts within a variety of organizations.
